Paving the way for US singer Julie Elias' album debut

SINGER/SONGWRITER Julie Elias is playing several US festivals prior to the release of her debut album 'A Wild Rose' due out this summer. Elias, whose music has been compared with Natalie Merchant and Sheryl Crow, was forging career as an actress until 2010 when she performed with her home church's praise and worship band. Said Julie, "It took a seemingly routine Christmas concert that year for me to realise what I'd been called to do. In fact, Christmas of that year was the most clear cut, obvious message I've ever received from God, period. It was as if he said to me, 'I am spelling it out for you in bold caps: PAY ATTENTION!'"
