Britain's first CCM shop, Dual-Edge, opens in Soho
BRITAIN's first new contemporary Christian music shop Dual-Edge, located in the heart of London's Soho, is finding at least a third of its customers non-Christians.
Advertising in heavy metal fanzine Kerrang! has brought in a stream of fans looking for the latest white metal releases. The first person to be converted through the ministry of the shop, however, has been a jazz fan, who came into Dual-Edge by chance. Another local shopkeeper has expressed interest in visiting a church. "That's exciting for us", said co-manager Mary Antoniades. Also exciting has been the media interest the shop has provoked, including coverage in a piece in the Weekend Telegraph on 3rd March. Will Soho ever be the same?
