Kerrie Roberts, not a pop star but a CCM hit
IN THE US 35 Christian radio stations have begun to play the first
single by Reunion Records newcomer Kerrie Roberts. The track "No Matter What"
is from the singer/songwriter's forthcoming album. In 2001 the singer
came to national attention in America when, after becoming a top 10
finalist on the TV talent search Pop Stars, she turned down a record
deal offered her live before a TV audience. She told the judges and
viewers, "I've prayed about it and I've decided not to do it. I have
total peace about this decision." Kerrie's turntable hit was produced
by Dan Mukala and Chuck Butler. Her self-titled debut will be released
in the autumn.
