Mary Mary cancel Christmas tour; receive Soul Train award
GOSPEL's premier duo Mary Mary have been forced to cancel their planned Have A Mary Mary Christmas Tour of the US after it was decided that Erica's baby, due in February 2012, would have made performing too difficult. The ladies did perform at The Soul Train Music Awards where they took home the award for Best Gospel Performance. They also sang "Midnight Train To Georgia" during the show's all star tribute to Legend Award recipient, Gladys Knight. In addition to Mary Mary, artists such as Kenny Lattimore, Freddy Jackson, Dave Hollister, Chrisette Michele, Tamar Braxton, Marsha Ambrosius and Natalie Cole joined in the tribute, singing some of Knight's greatest hits.
