Folk roots group Vocal Few chart with first release

HUSBAND and wife folk pop duo Vocal Few debuted at number 12 on Billboard's Heatseeker's Chart and number eight on the Folk Albums Chart recently. The group, consisting of Matt MacDonald (who is also the lead singer of postpunk band The Classic Crime) and his wife Kristie, released their debut EP 'She'll Be Right' in January. The recording was prompted by Kristie's pregnancy. Said Matt, "The project was inspired by the idea that in nine months we would be parents, and we should probably make a record to raise money to support this child. And if no money gets raised, well, at least we made music together back when we were childless and had free time." 'She'll Be Right' was recorded and produced by Matt in his home studio and was mixed by Brandon Metcalf.
