Huge rise in Christian music CD sales
A SPECTACULAR rise in the sales of Christian music has been reported
by America's Recording Industry Association Of America. Its market
share of sales of recorded music has risen from 4.5 per cent to 6.3
per cent - a 29 per cent increase. RIAA attributed gospel's growth
largely to "crossover" albums such as Kirk Franklin's The Nu Nation
Project', dc Talk's 'Supernatural' and Point Of Grace's 'Steady On'.
