Andrae and Sandra Crouch issue statement about Michael Jackson

GOSPEL music legends Andrae Crouch and his twin sister, Sandra, have issued the following statement: "It has been brought to our attention that several media outlets have been erroneously reporting that we met our dear friend Michael Jackson several weeks prior to his death so he could accept Christ. This is incorrect and absolutely not true. We loved and respected Michael enormously and we've been friends with him for many, many years, and are deeply saddened by his sudden and tragic death. We recently met with Michael to discuss recording two songs with our choir for his newest recording project. Michael always had a respect and curiosity for spiritual things. During our meeting, not unlike many other creative/music meetings we've had with him in the past, we sang together, prayed together and had a wonderful time. We are praying for Michael's family and desire nothing less than God's best for them." CR

Hoping this gets to Andrae & Sandra who both worked/sang for me here in San Antonio many years ago. Wonderful people whom I consider to be among God's best, above reproach in their ministry and character . When we worked together you had just recorded Soon & Very Soon ! My best to you

Michael received the lord years ago and has always mentioned his love for jesus and the words of the bible but i guess you would have to be a fan of him and his music to appreciate that. During 2005 MJ prayed with Reverend Jesse jackson and Al sharpton and called upon jesus and his faith was amazing during the interview he gave on Fox with Geraldo giving all praise to Jehovah above. Michael also prayed for an anointing of the holy spirit with the crouches three weeks before he died and was asking about how he could make his music more spiritual hence the term "this is it" as it signaled the end of his worldly music. go to Andrae crouches Face book page, there is now a statement released by his spokesperson Dave that says
Andrae' has now told Clifton Davis (when he saw him at MJ's family funeral on Sept. 4) that he is "confident that Michael Jackson knew the Lord." This was reported by Clifton on TBN's "Praise The Lord" on 9/8/09, Tuesday night to the world. (Dave)

Please do not worry about Michael's salvation. It is so obvious that he loved the Lord and was a Christian through and through. Listen to him in interviews - he speaks of God and of Jesus all the time. Listen to his songs - you will find his faith there too. But most importantly, look at his life - a life dedicated to bringing not just joy, but to brining hope, love and help to those less fortunate, as well as unity, love and peace to a world full of hate and injustice. He was committed to God until the end, and I have absolutely no doubt at all that Michael is finally in a place free from the pain and injustice he suffered in this life, for what sort of God would He be if He condemned someone such as Michael to hell? Certainly not the God I worship and serve! Please, find peace in your hearts, for he is truly in a better place now.

Hi, Dee I feel that same way that you feel about Michael he was such a loving and beautiful person, with a beautiful spirit. I believe in my heart that Jesus accepted Michael into His Kingdom where he will not have to cry nor worry anymore. I am 45 years old, I remember Michael and Jackson 5 growing up in the early 1970's, loosing Michael was like loosing a brother to me even though I never did get the opportunity to meet him. He will be miss greatly. I was a fan of the man kind, warm, giving. May He rest forever in the arms of my Father, God in glory. Amen.

In this 1991 video interview Andrew Crouch talked about Michael Jackson answering an altar call for salvation. The youtube link is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Sz9w8pUrpM

When I first hard the rumor that Andre and Sandra Couch had prayer for MJ and he received the Lord, I was elated. However, I wanted to hear what they had to say themselves; therefore I continuously search the internet until I found the above.

Still, my mother used to always say that "You never know what happens with the stirpes because it hits the ground." In other words, Michael could have called on the name of the Lord and received Jesus when he was alone before dying. I pray so.

Be blessed my brothers and Sisters

Man looks on the outward appearance, However God looks at our heart. Praying he is with the Lord and confessed Him to be Lord over his life.

Its really sad and extremely painful to learn the MJ so much needed the Lord Jesus more than anything else in the world and Andre and Sandra did not even care to witness to MJ and lead him to the truth of knowing Jesus. Is this what the Lord has saved us for ,just to enjoi his love and not to share it with others.Remember God puts people across our path to led them to the Lord's love not meet our own needs.

I am extremely saddened by the fact that a lost soul (Michael) came to people (The Crouches) for encouragement as well as collaboration. The Crouches are people who confess and have been singing for decades about Jesus...How could they say they love Jesus and Michael..but not enough to introduce the plan of salvation? I pray that Michael somehow received the King of kings...as Savior and Lord. I believe that God is very faithful..if the Crouches didn't share the plan of salvation..I believe God gave Michael another opportunity elsewhere.

I appreciate your concern over Michael's salvation. But blaming others for not leading him to Christ is a bit unfair. Andrae and Sandra are pastors, and their lives and testimony have been remarkeable. You can never associate yourself that close with a man or woman of God before you come into contact with their faith, in your face. But nobody can force anyone else to accept Christ, as my own father forced me to go to church and be 'churchey' while he wasn't at all. We all hope that the people we love or look up to are in right standing with God, or at least they make it to heaven. But even if noone witnesses Christ and the love of God in your whole lifetime, look around you - can't you see God? And you think God hasn't made such provisions for people? Such that noone will ever have an excuse for not knowing Him? It's great to hope that Michael found Christ somehow, but I wouldn't worry about his salvation. You and I are still alive, shall we make it to heaven? If we don't, whether he makes it or not won't matter? A life in Christ is not just having a 'religiosity aura about you', or in your manner of speech. In this respect, there are church ministers who will even never enter the Kingdom of heaven (Matthew 7:20-23). It's the life we live that ought to always testify about Christ's life in us. A city on a hill can never be hidden... said Jesus (Matthew 5:14). Let God be a fair judge to consider Michael's case (for He says He has some other sheep we know not about... (John 10:16)), and let us worry about our own salvation (). Agree? Be blessed.

God has his way of working in the hearts of men and women. We may not ever know the result of that meeting. Or, as ministers of the gospel, they may choose to respect the full content of Michael's prayer requests and spiritual needs.

God knows. We don't have to know.
