Songsmith Sufjan Stevens returns with 'The Avalanche' album

HIGHLY regarded American singer/songwriter Sufjan Stevens has released a new album. 'The Avalanche', on Rough Trade, is a batch of songs originally conceived to be part of Sufjan's 'Illinois' album but held over when that became a single rather than a double album.
