Hymn writing competition launched by St Paul's Cathedral
A MILLENNIUM hymn writer's competition has been launched by St Paul's Cathedral. With prizes of up to £750 each for the authors of the best words and composer of the best music, the winning words and music will be used at the cathedral's main millennium service in the year 2000. Competition organiser Canon Michael Saward explained, "There are good hymns and bad hymns, good religious songs and bad religious songs. We have nothing against songs - but this competition is for hymns."
Only entries using official entry forms will be considered for the
competition. For entry details send a large SAE sufficient for
