Martyn Joseph moves to the mainstream, signs with Sony.

WELSH singer/songwriter Martyn Joseph who in the summer signed a long-term contract with Sony (previously known as CBS Records) is currently preparing to go into the studio.

As we go to press Martyn's producer for his debut album to the mainstream market is still being decided. Names under discussion are John Kelly (who produced Chris Rea and Deacon Blue's last album), Christopher Ncal (Mike And The Mechanics) and Rod Argent.

Among the songs to be recorded is a new version of "Dolphins Make Me Cry" and new songs he's been writing with lyricist/poet Stewart Henderson. CR
