London crew G-Force surprise winners of MOBO Award
AN ALBUM with no retail distribution and which is still largely unheard outside of the London gospel underground was the surprise winner of a MOBO Award yesterday. The album 'Destroy & Rebuild' by G-Force beat off far bigger budget albums to take the MOBO Gospel Award. The band's sound was described by rapper Essence as "R&B, rap, garage and more." He also revealed that "before we began the recording process and writing we decided to go on a 40 day and 40 night fast."
