Cross Rhythms trustee Rev John Barr dies
INTERNATIONALLY renowned Bible teacher and a member of the Cross Rhythms board of trustees the Rev John Barr died in his home in the East End of London on 24th January after a short illness. John had for many years pastored the Elim Way Church, Plaistow, London and headed up Freedom Road Ministries. John's church was filled to overflowing at the funeral. Amongst those who paid tribute to him from the platform were Gerald Coates, international bible teacher David Pawson and general secretary of Elim John Glass while Noel Richards led worship. Larry Norman flew in from California to attend the service. Cross Rhythms asks all its readers to keep John Barr's family in prayer at this time.

Once I was half persuaded by others that I likely had demons.
At a service John Barr looked into my eyes in a very penetrating manner and declared "there's no demons in there"-
and for me, his authority was so resounding,
the thought was eliminated and the matter was closed
