Held By Trees album reviewed in Record Collector

EAGERLY awaited album by Britain's Held By Trees 'The Call Of Home' has been reviewed by Record Collector magazine. Describing their emergence in 2022 as an instrumental prog rock group the review commented, "They openly channelled late Talk Talk, constructing drifting post-rock instrumentals." Reviewer Chris Roberts was less impressed with what he described as a "smorgasbord of singers" guesting on the new album. Roberts wrote, "Some turns disappoint while others dazzle - notably Simone Marie on "Not Home Yet" and Jason Upton (on the title track) as a growlier Mark Lanegan. Often alluring." CR
