Cross Rhythms organizes millennium youth event
A MAJOR youth event, involving active participation from dozens of youth groups across Britain and Ireland and with radio tie-ups around the world, is being planned for New Year's Eve. The live event will involve Northern and Republic Of Ireland and is organized by Cross Rhythms. It will be run from two venues, the Coleraine Christian Centre in the north and a venue in the south, which is still to be announced. Major names in contemporary Christian music will be featured plus recorded contributions from youth groups who are being asked to produce five minute tapes on the theme of Jesus And The Millennium. Explained Cross Rhythms broadcaster Martin Purnell, "Through major youth organizations we will be asking youth groups up and down the country to record their five minute presentations about the millennium. It might include a rap, drama, all kinds of things. We are hoping to have so much material that the event programme will last for hours!"
The major thrust of the event is prayer. Continued Purnell, "We believe it will be spiritually very significant with people at both the live events, those joining us on radio throughout Europe and radio link ups in New Zealand and the USA all joining together in prayer, praying for the millennium and praying into the millennium."
More information on the event, including details of how you can get involved, will be included in the next Cross Rhythms.
