LA's Silent Planet sing about Native American injustice on new album
LOS ANGELES-based metalcore band Silent Planet had their album 'The Night
God Slept' released through Solid State on 10th November. In the past
few years the band have completed several national tours alongside
such notables as Sleeping Giant, Impending Doom, Fit For A King,
Gideon and Phinehas. A video for the song "Native Blood" has been
posted. Speaking about "Native Blood" vocalist Garrett Russell said,
"The song deals with America's expansionist persecution of Native
American people. This is all told through the lens of a young girl who
watches her peoples' way of life be taken from them in the name of
'God'."
