Four British choirs to feature on CD/DVD planned for free prison distribution
PLANS ARE under way for gospel music CDs and DVDs to be distributed free of charge to prisoners in the UK's prisons. A concert to be held at Manchester Cathedral featuring Urban Voice, Liverpool Philharmonic Gospel Choir, Accord Community Choir and Gorton Voice Community Choir will take place on 15th July with the performance being recorded and filmed for DVD. The man behind the project is renowned choir director Tyndale Thomas, who recently contributed most of the arrangements to the big selling, TV advertised album 'The Best Gospel Album In The World.Ever'. As well as the live performances, the finished CDs and DVDs will also contain messages from several leading American gospel figures including Israel Houghton, Edwin Hawkins and Andrae Crouch.
