After eight years David Phelps leaves Gaither Vocal Band.

AFTER EIGHT years with the Gaither Vocal Band, singer David Phelps officially launched as a solo artist with the release of his new album 'Life Is A Church'. Produced and engineered by Greg Bieck (Barbara Streisand, Jessica Simpson), the album is a follow up to Phelps' 'Revelation' solo debut. Speaking about the theme of 'Life Is A Church' Phelps said, "I grew up in the Bible Belt with a dad who was a deacon and a grandpa who was a pastor, so faith was easy. But it was also a Sunday thing for me when I was growing up."

Mr. David Phelps...what a beautiful voice, every time I hear you singing it gives me joy and happiness in my life. God gave you the talent and I'm glad you are using it to praise his Holy Name. You come from a Christian Family, no wonder you sing beautifully, God bless you and your family....YOU ARE MY #1 FAN.

David Phelps has been my favorite male vocalist since I heard him in 2001 with the gaithers. He voice is that of an Angel, annointed and purposed to draw those in looking for the Love of God! I will always follow Him, He Impressed me forever!

David Phelps is the most amazing voice I have ever heard. With his voice you get a sermon and a song at the same time. I wish words could say how he has touched my very soul.

Iam amazed by David's voice...i can't believe he is leaving the GVB!WONT BE THE SAME WITHOUT HIM.iam a gret fan of David.When the GVB were in south-africa i went only to see him and Wes Hampton.You guys were great!!!!!Hope to meet you one day David....

Oh David!!! I don't want to sound negative or unappreciative but the best even sound and combination of Gaither singers were Bill, Guy, David & Mark, I usually only taped the selections in whinh Guy or David was the lead. I trust you will do well on your solo career but we will miss you and your powerful delivery of ANYTHIMG you sang. God bless!!

bill gaither is one great man.music through the messages he and gloria gives us is awesome!!the gaither vocal group is god's great creatation.and will be for a long time to come.we will be forever thankful.and about david phelps---DAVID,YOU WILL BE DEARLY DEARLY MISSED.YOU ARE TRULY BLESSED.MAY THE GOOD LORD CONTINUE TO WATCH OVER YOU,YOUR WIFE AND ALL YOUR WONDERFUL CHILDREN.and to you mr.gaither and gloria---bless and "thank you both for all your wondreful work...
