Garth Hewitt to undertake 14-date UK tour, releases new album

VETERAN singer/songwriter Garth Hewitt begins a major tour of the UK in October. The 14-date Stealing Jesus Back tour begins on 27th October in London and finishes on 8th December in Birmingham. Garth's latest album, 'Stealing Jesus Back', recorded at ICC Eastbourne and produced by Paul Wilkinson, has just been released by ICC.

Hope you're coming to Scotland! Have got "Stealing Jesus Back" on right now~every track is brilliant .To hear "Apocalypse Jackson" live would be excellent.Keep producing.Thanks.

Garth visited Uganda, it may have been about between 1992 and 1994 I cant recall the exact year. He visited my school Gayaza High School and staged a Christian concert there and sang "O Namirembe O the Hill of Peace" among other songs. We had a wonderful time. I remembered him today as i was surfing the net, so I googled and found his website. I am glad to learn that he is still standing for the Lord. May God bless you Garth. When will you visit Uganda again?

Amazing, I found this website almost the exact same way you did!! I am a Gayaza girl too though I attended from 1998 to 2003.
I never got to see the live concerts when Garth Hewitt was here (Uganda) but my older sister was at Gayaza at the time and she bought quite a few audio tapes which I listened to as a kid and absolutely loved!! I remember songs like "O Namirembe", "Nero's watching video", "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem", "Little Outlaws, dirty Angels", "Not a Love story" and a lot of other songs he did (they're all coming back to me now:-). I think he also set the 'Prayer for Africa' to music in 'Litany for Africa' and that's how I learnt the prayer.
I just thought about him a little while ago, googled and voila!! I guess I'll be looking out for CDs online, but if he did come back (to Uganda) I would definitely be first in line for a ticket!!

You (Garth) came to our Church (All Saints Fishponds in Bristol) many moons ago. We'd like to see you again sometime. When are you in or around Bristol again? We have most of your albums (90%) but I'm afraid I have not heard your latest from 2006, Stealing Jesus Back. My favourite track of yours is "Nero's watching video" which you sang for us as a request at one of your performances. We're sat here tonight listening to "Scars", I know, SAD, in it.
