AMERICA's Floodgate Records have signed Denver-based band Yellow
Second. The power pop group were formed in late 1999 by Scott Kerr,
former member of the popular rock ska band Five Iron Frenzy. He
quickly enlisted fellow FIF bandmate Andy Verdecchio, as well as Josh
Hemingway and Brett Bowden. The band have a loyal following in the
western US, having released two independent projects and toured and/or
shared the stage with bands such as Five Iron Frenzy, Relient K and
Number One Gun. Said Tim Taber, president of Floodgate Records, "I
think we were initially just amazed by their incredible songwriting
ability. But then we also got to know them as not only artists, but
got to understand their focus. I knew instantly that I would be
honoured to have Yellow Second on Floodgate Records."
