Ayrshire-based doctor Gareth Powell releases CD of Easter musical 'Lion Of Judah'.

A 35 YEAR old GP from London, now living and working in Ayrshire, Scotland, Gareth J Powell has written a musical 'Lion Of Judah' and released a CD of the project. 'Lion Of Judah' tells the story of the first Easter. Said Powell about the project, "As far as West End theatre goes, currently you can only hear the Easter story in Jesus Christ Superstar or Godspell. Neither will allow you to meet the real Jesus and my prayer is that 'Lion' could change that if it could ever get that far. It has been performed in concert and semi-dramatised versions before over a thousand people locally and has been well received by Christians and non-Christians alike."
