CCM star Denson seriously hurt in plane crash

AMERICAN CCM star Al Denson has been seriously hurt in a plane crash. The singer's private aircraft crashed at San Antonio International Airport in Texas on 18th December. One of the two other passengers on board, pilot Grant Milner subsequently died. Denson was flown to Brook Army Medical Centre where he underwent lengthy treatment including 400 stitches in his face and plastic surgery to numerous fractures above his eyes. His nose was also reconstructed, the singer also breaking a foot and arm. The Benson recording artist is currently recovering at his home in Irving, Texas, and will be returning to hospital in May for more surgery. A full investigation into the crash is now under way but no findings are expected for several months.
An interview with Al Denson, who visited the UK last year is on page 12 of this issue. CR
