Alisa Childers to leave CCM hitmakers ZOEgirl to go solo
AFTER SEVEN years as part of the highly-successful ZOEgirl, Alisa Childers is leaving the group at the end of 2006 to pursue her career as a solo artist. Said Childers, "I have had such a great time with Kristin and Chrissy pursuing the call of God on ZOEgirl and I will treasure all those memories forever. However, it's become evident to me that God is leading me to focus more on other songs I have written over the years and to give them a voice. I will forever be grateful to Norman Miller and Peter York who put ZOEgirl together and were the first ones in the industry to believe in me and give me a chance."
