Plankton Records release Viv Neville EP

DARLINGTON-based singer/songwriter Viv Neville has an EP released on Plankton Records. 'Holy One' is described as a "haunting mix of Celtic and folk-flavoured songs with contemporary instrumentation, arrangements and stylings."

A wonderful, soothing composition from an extremly gifted musician/singer/songwriter.' Holy One' is undoubtly my favourite. I can't stop singing it. This EP was an absolute delight from start to finish. A true mix of tranquil, Celtic melodies with inspirational lyrics. More please!

As a collaborator of Iona (lyricist for Journey Into The Morn and Inside My Heart), it was a great joy to work again in the Celtic domain but this time with Viv Neville. When Viv asked for some lyrics I immediately drew two out of a lot that had been waiting for a special collaboration. When I showed "The Celtic Saint's Prayer" and "Lover of My Soul" to Viv, the music came to her very quickly. It was a divine match and I am very pleased Viv was able to use them on her brand new release.

I look forward to seeing a review of her whole album by your magazine as I always enjoyed the ones you did on Iona's CDs.

This is a beautiful debut album from this talented Christian singer-songwriter. The melodies are haunting and the words a true reflection of Viv's spiritual security.

I've already bought a copy of Viv's EP, it's been finely crafted and although only four songs long there's quite a lot of music on it.
