Ricky Skaggs and Alison Krauss guest on new Keith & Kristyn Getty album

MODERN hymn writers Keith and Kristyn Getty, who for the last two years have been living in Nashville, Tennessee, will have a new album 'Hymns For The Christian Life' released through Integrity on 8th October. The project is produced by Ed Cash and Charlie Peacock and features guest appearances from country giants Alison Krauss and Ricky Skaggs. The hymns glean musical influences from both the Gettys' Irish heritage and the traditions of bluegrass and country music. Said Keith, "Irish music essentially gave birth to folk music. Having lived in Ireland and now in Nashville, we can harness the best from both musical styles in our songwriting for the Church." CR
