Bluegrass/country/blues group Ollabelle gaining much attention Stateside.
A NEW YORK group who name gospel, country, bluegrass and blues as their musical sources have been attracting considerable critical acclaim in the US. Ollabelle were formed during the Sunday night gospel jams held at New York's 9C nightclub by country singer Olla Belle Reed. The band came to the attention of producer T-Bone Burnett who signed the group to his DMZ label, a Columbia Records affiliate. DMZ released Ollabelle's self-title debut in March. The group is currently on the road with bluegrass/country giants Ralph Stanley and Alison Krauss + Union Station.
