GosFest '91 to feature Candi Staton, Ben Tankard, LCGC and many more.
A BLACK Gospel festival called GosFest '91 is due to take place in
London this August. Top of the bill is Candi Staton, recently in the
British charts with her Source single "You Got The Love". Other
artists set to appear are America's keyboard maestro Ben Tankard, the
London Community Gospel Choir, Afro-gospel team Asaph, Roy Johnson,
Rev John Francis and Oliver Scotland - former member of chart funk
team theGapp Band.
Organised by the Community Care Trust in
conjunction with The African Churches Consultative Council of the UK.
The event will run from 23rd to the 25th of August in Walthomstow.
Community Care Trust devotes much of its time to helping the community
in the areas of drug abuse, alcoholism and child abuse.
A secondary purpose of 'GosFest 91' is to raise funds to sponsor research and development for sanitation, nutrition and career training in Africa. For more information on GosFest '91 phone 071 581 1805.
