California's Phil Wickham to get major US push.
THE AMERICAN worship leader and singer/songwriter Phil Wickham, who has ministered in the UK at Devon's annual Creation Fest, is to get a major push by Nashville after establishing himself as one of the US scene's best selling independent artists. Simple Records, the boutique label owned by MercyMe's Bart Millard and producer Pete Kipley, are set to launch Phil's self-titled debut release on 25th April. Phil is the son of John Wickham, one of the pioneers of Jesus music with such bands as The Way and Parable. The first single, "Grace", by the 21 year old Southern Californian is now being distributed to US radio.
