Jet Velvet create waves with self-titled debut
A DUO described as "Orange County, California's latest buzz band," Jet Velvet, have their self-titled debut album on 7k' Records drawing comparisons to the likes of Owl City, Fountains of Wayne and Cheap Trick. The group consist of Paul Dexter and Matt Bissonette. Dexter, who is known in Christian music circles as a founding member of Mayfair Laundry, has penned tunes for Nicole C Mullen, Bryan Duncan and Crystal Lewis. Bissonette's songwriting credits include David Lee Roth and Rick Springfeld, plus recording credits with Brian Wilson and Don Henley. Their previous collaborations have resulted in dozens of song placements as diverse as TV's General Hospital, Friends and CSI Miami.
Bissonette spoke about Jet Velvet's album, "We didn't expect to be
a band, but now we're fully diving into this project because every
second of it's been so fun to work on. Let's just say this music is so
exciting that it's gotten two songwriters who were a little tired of
the road all fired up and ready to go back out and connect with people
all over again."
