Mainstream UK label set to release compilation of The Clark Sisters

ON 29th September Westbound Records will be releasing in the UK a compilation by renowned gospel team The Clark Sisters, 'You Brought The Sunshine: The Sounds Of Gospel Recordings 1976-81'. Read a review in Record Collector magazine, "The Clark Sisters, five siblings from Detroit led by the big-voiced Elbertina 'Twinkie' Clark-Terrell, recorded traditional gospel until 1976 when they signed to the Sound Of Gospel label, a subsidiary of Armen Boladian's Westbound. After that they pushed boundaries expanding their sound to include elements of jazz, soul and disco as evidenced on a vibrant 16-track compilation."
