Deitrick Haddon stars in movie DVD Blessed & Cursed

GOSPEL star Deitrick Haddon makes his acting and scriptwriting debut in the motion picture Blessed & Cursed. The drama, a modern telling of the David and Saul story, depicts Dwight Hawkins (played by Haddon) struggling between family obligations and his own dreams of superstardom before getting caught up in a scheme of jealously orchestrated by a church pastor. Said Haddon, "I grew up in the church and unfortunately it wasn't all great experiences. I intentionally brought these up in the movie. I feel this movie will be a witnessing tool to win people back into the church." The film, which also stars Sheryl Lee Ralph and Drew Sidora as well as gospel stars J Moss, Mali Music, Kierra Sheard and Irocc, was issued on DVD in the US on 27th June while a 'Blessed & Cursed' soundtrack album has also been released. CR

It is one of the best movie of the times , one that is very much needed. It wasn't just for the young wounded that have left the church , because of unfairness of pastors and leaders in the churh , but it also show how a pastor who starts out with the mind to follow God and how easy it is for them to lose thier way because of fame and fortune forgetting about the real reason for being a pastor ,it is a help tool for the kingdom.
