Deitrick Haddon stars in movie DVD Blessed & Cursed

GOSPEL star Deitrick Haddon makes his acting and scriptwriting debut in the motion picture Blessed & Cursed. The drama, a modern telling of the David and Saul story, depicts Dwight Hawkins (played by Haddon) struggling between family obligations and his own dreams of superstardom before getting caught up in a scheme of jealously orchestrated by a church pastor. Said Haddon, "I grew up in the church and unfortunately it wasn't all great experiences. I intentionally brought these up in the movie. I feel this movie will be a witnessing tool to win people back into the church." The film, which also stars Sheryl Lee Ralph and Drew Sidora as well as gospel stars J Moss, Mali Music, Kierra Sheard and Irocc, was issued on DVD in the US on 27th June while a 'Blessed & Cursed' soundtrack album has also been released.
