'Blessed Be Your Name: Songs Of Matt Redman Vol 1' set for release.

SURVIVOR RECORDS will be releasing the first Best Of album by Britain's most popular worship leader Matt Redman in July. 'Blessed Be Your Name: Songs Of Matt Redman Vol 1' is a compilation of Redman's most popular worship recordings. The title track earned Redman his first GMA/Dove Award in the USA this year for Worship Song Of The Year. Said Redman, "I can look back on the past few years of writing songs and see what God has been doing in my life. It's a bit like journaling. It's just part of me and it's how I let my heart overflow before God. But on top of that, when you've poured out your heart to God in a little room somewhere, and then one day you visit a church in another country and they're singing your song, it's a great encouragement because ultimately that's what the songs are for." A companion book by Redman and his wife Beth, also entitled Blessed Be Your Name, will be published in August. In the book the Redmans explore their song through the words of the Psalms to show how to stand in the place of praise in the midst of hardship and pain. They share from their own experience and show how painful circumstances and our choices can either propel us toward God or away from him, build up our faith or break it.
