Down East Boys issue single "Beat Up Bible"
SOUTHERN gospel quartet Down East Boys have released a single, "Beat Up Bible", through Sonlite Records. It is the first single from their upcoming album 'One Day In The Past' which is to be issued in August. The Reidsville, North Carolina-based group have previously released albums such as 'Remember The Time' (2003), 'The Cross Still Stands' (2007) and 'Ransomed' (2016). Lead singer Ricky Carden said of the single, "This song takes me back to my grandparents and the Christian heritage they showed to me. Their Bibles are worn and tattered from the many hours spent studying the Word. We need more beat up Bibles in our homes."
