Soul diva Candi Staton releases 32nd album

THE 32nd album by R&B, gospel and dance music diva Candi Staton, 'Back To My Roots' has been released on Beracah Records/New Distribution. Read a review in Record Collector magazine, "[It] captures the 85 year old in unbelievable voice on a set of blues, but mainly gospel with transcendental takes on 'It's Gonna Rain' and 'Peace In The Valley' both featuring her sister Maggie Staton Peebles, with whom she started her career in the Four Echoes and the Jewel Gospel Trio." CR
