Mainstream American Dashboard Confessional returns to old sound
VAGRANT Records have released 'The Shade Of Poison Trees' by Dashboard Confessional (otherwise known as singer/songwriter Chris Carrabba). Wrote Q magazine, "The desertion of his audience following an attempt to flesh out his sound on 2006's 'Dusk And Summer' has, predictably, prompted a return to the stripped-back acoustic guitar approach on which he built his reputation. . . Such glib homilies as 'I will love you tonight/And tomorrow we may just feel the same' ("The Rush") would shame the writers of Hallmark cards."
