Philippa Hanna ties up with Compassion UK

CHILD development charity Compassion UK has announced acclaimed singer/songwriter Philippa Hanna as the charity's first Artist In Residence. The new role, which begins this month, will see Philippa present about Compassion's work at local and national events, telling her own story of how sponsoring five Compassion children has had a profound impact on her life. She will also build new partnerships for the charity, lead worship at staff meetings and events throughout the year and highlight Compassion's work through regular digital and media engagement.

Philippa explained her passion and drive for sponsorship: "I first started sponsoring a child with Compassion over 12 years ago. Carlos is nearly 18 years old now and it has been amazing to see him blossom into a confident young man. I'm so compelled by the incredible work that Compassion does, that every few years I end up sponsoring another child! It's a privilege to be officially joining the Compassion team, and I hope I can do even more to share about the joys of sponsorship with a wider audience."
