Amy Grant may visit England as part of a worldwide tour
PLANS ARE in the pipeline for superstar Amy Grant to visit England as part of a worldwide tour, probably in May or June. The planned tour is to start in Australia then Japan before continuing throughout Europe. There are likely to be two or three UK dates - probably in London and Birmingham. Amy's current album. 'Heart In Motion', has become the biggest selling Christian album ever, with sales in excess of two and a half million copies.
Amy will be accompanied on the tour by British singer/songwriter Chris Eaton, who co-wrote Amy's hit single "Every Heartbeat". He told Cross Rhythms "I'm really looking forward to working so closely with Amy". Chris Eaton will interrupt his recording schedule for the tour. "I really need to get my next single done and hopefully four or five tracks for my album before the tour starts", the singer/songwriter said. The single, on Chris' own Closseau Records, is likely to be "Stand By Me", which Chris describes as "more Radio 1 friendly than 'Bread Of Heaven' (his recent Christmas single)". Chris is planning to finish his album in Nashville while on a US tour and have it ready for a UK solo tour in October.
Full details of Amy's tour dates will be in the next edition of Cross Rhythms.
