CMA to be replaced by a major new initiative
THE CHRISTIAN Music Association (CMA) is ceasing its operations from
the end of June 1991.
The organisation is to be replaced by what
its director Ian Traynor describes as "a major new initiative on
behalf of worship ministries and those involved with the arts."
The new CMA (the initials stand for the Christian Musicians And Artists Trust) will not be involved in the administration of the copyright licence. This will be taken care of by a separate company called Christian Copyright Licensing Ltd.
"The scope of the New CMA will include visual, performing and Literary Arts" said Ian Traynor. "We want to be a voice to the church to awaken them to the need to see the whole field of the Arts redeemed."
