America's David C Cook now sole owner of Kingsway

TRADE MAGAZINE Christian Marketplace have published in their October issue an interview with Cris Doornbos, president and CEO of Colorado Springs-based publishers David C Cook. Cook recently acquired the remaining shares of Kingsway Communications from the Kingsway Trust to take sole ownership of Britain's Kingsway, Survivor and the recently acquired Fierce! Distribution Christian music labels. Said Doornbos, "We will continue with the Survivor label as a subservient brand to Kingsway. The Survivor brand has a great deal of awareness with a specific kind of customer, younger generally, and so we'll build on that. Kingsway will be left as Kingsway but will have a sharper identity and will be signed as 'A division of David C Cook'." CR
