The Bells Of Joy and various acts from Texas re-issued on two new CDs.
MIDDLESEX-based Acrobat Music, who specialise in re-issue albums, have released two new CDs targeted at devotees of early post-war gospel. 'The Collection' by The Bells Of Joy features 20 recordings (including eight never previously released) recorded by the legendary male quartet between 1951 and 1954 while 'Texas Gospel Vol 1: Come On Over Here' features such groups as The Christland Singers, The Southern Wonders, Golden Harp Gospel Singers, The Stars Of Hope and The Gospel Travellers.

I enjoyed the Bells of Joy this morning at Threadgill's Restaurant Gospel Brunch. They've still got it and singin' praises about Jesus.
