The Battery comprises two class and classic names in the Christian hip-hop scene, Peace 586 and Jurny Big. Following on from their first release back in 2011, 'One', the duo have now released their latest project. With a focus on what one reviewer accurately describes as "spacey boom bap", tightly compressed beats loose the flows and rhymes. The project itself brings a level of deep and personal reflections as the emcees ask questions about themselves, life, motives and God. The beats and lyrics are reflective on "Glass" and "Cole Haan" giving the tracks a more uplifting feel. "Finna Be" features a verse by Propaganda while "Mamma Bet The House" has the distinctive gruff tones of Playdough. The duo are aided by other guests Sev Statik, Rational and Shames Worthy though still staying close to the history of the two artists (Tunnel Rats / LPG among others). "I'm Good" has an old skool, near Tribe Called Quest vibe as Jurny Big and Peace 586 stamp their mark with their rapping. The album ends with yet another break that takes things up another notch for "The One".
