It's been a while since the CCM veteran has turned in anything as good as his 'The Picture Of Changes' classic of 1993 and though this has its moments, it still suffers from a lack of verity in arrangement and too many worship-orientated songs that simply aren't from the top drawer. Phil's gritty, expressive voice, is as always, a delight, while the big horn section and gospel backing choir add occasional fire to the proceedings. But this is still a long way from the best we've heard from Phil.
