On 'Celebrate Freedom' Phil puts down some vocals as well as his already well established - Miles Davis eat your heart out - trumpet style. Unfortunately, Phil's voice left me completely unaffected though there are plenty of fans who really enjoy his Joe Cocker-ish approach to blue-eyed soul singing. The album is a rather odd mix of material and his version of "Battle Hymn Of The Republic" is an acquired taste for us Brits.
