South Africa's MIC are probably one of the most underrated pop bands on the CMC scene. This is a quality funky pop album that combines rap and R&B rhythms all produced by the legend that is Zarc Porter. Need I say more? "Get Up" is a party song to get things started followed by the excellent "Sake Of Love" of which there is a bonus remix at the end of the album with a useful piece of advice, "Pride is the killer, makes no one a winner." The album continues with singable hooks and plenty of party songs. "Then He Came" is a more gentle song with thought provoking lyrics. "Sin City" is the only song that does not work for me. There is also another remix of the song "Heaven" and also two songs by a group called The Captain and another by Steve Solo which are good. MIC are musical evangelists with a passion to reach this generation in the same vein as The Tribe did. This album will aid them in that mission.

Product Description
MIC are Steve Rothquel, Theran Knighton-Fitt and Pete Stainbank. These three South African musicians have a loyal following in the UK following regular touring.
MIC’s music is a combination of many different genres, including HipHop, R ‘n B and Rock. These various elements are used together with a jazz influence and a 'pop' production to create a unique new sound.
Snap Shot has something for everyone, from more up beat, energetic, passionate songs, to softer reflective ballads that convey emotion and challenge and whatever else there may be in between. If you give this album a chance, you will find more than enough in it to satisfy your own taste.
Snap Shot is a brief picture into MIC’s lives as individuals and as a band. It is a snapshot into what MIC like, believe and who MIC really are. It was recorded in Durban, mixed in the UK and mastered in Scotland giving the album an international flavour.
'I hope that this album 'Snapshot' paints the MIC picture, clearer and brighter for you. And that the heart of who the band MIC is, will clearly be communicated to you through its songs and message.' Theran
