Hebrews 11:5-6
Jesson Kurian considers what faith is and it's importance in our relationship with God
Yes!! According to Hebrews 11:6 without faith we cannot please God.
Let's look at the basics. What is faith really? According to the Bible faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. That speaks a lot to me.
By faith our lives are lifted up to the highest level possible. Many of us stop trusting God and stop having faith in God about our lives, our job, family, future and our health, just because we think it's impossible for us and many times we under-estimate God.
Every time we read the Bible we see the greater things that God did. We know that he divided the Red Sea and fed the prophet by sending a raven. We know amazing things happened in the Bible, but do you know why they are not happening anymore? It's because we have stopped trusting and putting our faith on God blindly.
The other day I was looking at a three year-old kid and his father playing around. As I was still observing, the kid climbed up a big table and he blindly jumped; but before he could hit the ground his father caught him tight. I saw joy in the face of that little kid, but not fear. The kid never thought about the consequence of what would happen if he hit the ground, because he had a blind faith that his father was strong enough, tall enough and powerful enough to hold him even when he jumps. That's when God started speaking to me.
Do you have that kind of faith and trust in the Lord? Many of us trust the things made by man so much, but not God. The other day as I was sitting in a chair, God was speaking this to me, "Did you think twice before you sat in that chair whether it would break or not?" I said, "No, I blindly sat on it because I never thought it would break". That's when my eyes opened up. We trust on man-made things so much, but we never trust on our creator blindly. That's why most of God's blessings never come into our life. They are stopped just outside our door because we quit opening that door of faith.
God never let the sky (our common roof) to fall on the ground to this day. The sky remained where it is to this day just obeying the Creator's word. Why should we doubt our God who gave us so many promises by his own mouth? He will never let our lives fall to the ground. What is impossible for man is possible for God. Always trust in the Lord.
As you are reading this, I know many of you are parents. How do you feel if your children blindly trust and believe in you? I believe that pleases you a lot and that empowers you to love them and take care of them more than before. Our God created us to walk with him always and he will be pleased when we have faith on him.
Enoch by faith walked with God. Hebrews 11:5 says that Enoch before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. He did not see death because he pleased God. When we start putting our faith on God, death, disease, bondage and poverty will never have dominion over us. God will walk with us and his very presence is enough for the darkness to flee.
Therefore my beloved sisters and brothers in Christ let's take a strong decision to trust and rely blindly upon our God. No matter what situation or what circumstance you are going through, by faith just believe that, 'Our God is mighty to save' and he is concerned about us and that everything is under his control. Always know that the One who is in you is stronger, greater and more powerful than the one who is in the world. We are destined to reign as long as we live. Remember, Jesus came to this world not to just give us life, but abundant life.
I pray by faith that this month will be a great blessing and a week of miracles in your life. Amen! God bless you.

Thank you so much dear brother for throwing light on the faith that we must possess as believers. By faith, we can please God. Yes, we are His children and we must have blind faith on our Mighty Father in Heaven.
