After six years working with GOD TV, Cross Rhythms founder Chris Cole has announced his departure from the influential Christian TV channel. Chris states: "The time and season I worked for Rory and Wendy and GOD TV as Regional Director for the U.K. and Ireland has been an amazing experience and a real privilege before God. Their emphasis to bring Holy Spirit filled, anointed programming and youth conferences to the world is being honoured by the Father; but it is now clear that the Lord is leading me into a new season of responsibilities to focus on".
Speaking of the move, GOD TV's Rory Alec said "Chris approached Wendy and I over 18 months ago saying that he sensed God's call to a new season of ministry outside of GOD TV. We have known Chris and Kerry since before GOD TV was launched in the U.K. We are thankful for the time that Chris served this ministry and we wish him well".
As a director of Cornerstone Vision, an advertising and marketing agency in Plymouth; a trustee of Gilead Foundations rehab centre near Okehampton; and a director of Alive In The Spirit, the charity that runs the Cross Rhythms Plymouth radio station; Chris will continue to maintain his active involvement in these responsibilities, along with serving his wife Kerry with the developing vision of The Purple Veil - ministering to people for sexual and emotional healing.
In particular however Chris will primarily be focusing his energies on developing The Word In Action, a collaboration between Cross Rhythms, Gilead Foundations and Cornerstone Vision which is documented on the Cross Rhythms website.
And Chris' new level of freedom will also offer him greater opportunity, as a trustee and chair of Cross Rhythms, to better help support the work of the charity in a new fundraising role - developing relationships with potential high end donors and supporters who are looking to help empower significant growing kingdom visions, such as that of Cross Rhythms.
Jonathan Bellamy, Cross Rhythms CEO, welcomed the development of
Chris' newly released fundraising role: "The timing of this new
freedom for Chris couldn't be better. In the last nine months God has
clearly been leading Cross Rhythms into a new season of expansion,
including new radio vision into Bethlehem, India and Thailand; early
steps into online TV youth programmes; and the gathering momentum of
our media training work as we look to raise up the next generation of
media missionaries. With his unparalleled experience of nearly 30
years in Christian media and Christian leadership in the UK; his deep
understanding of Cross Rhythms' unique approach to media; his passion
for building the Kingdom of God in our nation; and his father's heart
desire to see the current Cross Rhythms leadership and team truly
succeed; we could not ask for a better person to get behind our
growing vision and help empower it through the connections, motivation
and expertise that Chris will bring."
I remember doing a radio interview with chris at one time on CR , i never realised he was the founder at the time , i am sure his experience with God TV will put he and his wife in a great position in their new venture, all the best chris
