Music described as authentic Appalachian in root
IN THE continuing rise of American folk music since the 0 Brother Where Art Thou movie, Michael W Smith's Rocketown Records have signed Alathea (pronounced uh-LAY-thee-uh), a group of three women from East Tennessee. Their music is described as "authentic Appalachian roots music." Alathea (the name stems from the Greek word for truth) have been singing together for five years.
