I loved the Celtic contemplative-tinge of his last album though admirers of Christendom's most renowned axeman will be pleased that under the sure production cover of Chagall Guevara's Lynn Nichols, Phil has now turned back to other influences. On the opener you get a high octane guitar rocker though soon that other Keaggy forte, 60s-tinged melodic pop peeping through. In fact those Beatlesque tinges are a bit too dominant on occasions, Liverpool's finest always being a major influence on the guitar maestro but the McCartney similarities on "Love Divine" are so blatant I almost expected him to break into "All My Lovin'" on the chorus. Still not the brilliant album Phil is capable of... will it ever come?
