These days there seems to be a never ending flow of new gospel artists in the USA, all releasing fine albums. If you're after slow burning, smooth R&B gospel, then that seems to be Lori El's specialty as she delivers a selection of songs that melt the soul. Highlights are the sweet harmonies of "It's Coming" with its encouragement to persevere, and a couple of ballads, the song of surrender "Have My Being" and the devotional "Private Place". She only very occasionally breaks into a sweat! There's the hip-hop flavoured groove of "What'cha Want" and the solid R&B dance groove of "Joy" available in two mixes. Oh yeah, and there's a wiggy rock out on the closing cut "It's All About Him" which features some cod Van Halen '80s guitar. Hmmm. But for me it's the title cut that sends shivers down my spine. However, the overall result is a little patchy. This is a shame because I wanted to be able to wholeheartedly recommend it and say "Lori El.because you're worth it!"

As me bein a good friend of Lori El I know that she is
letting god use her in a remarkable way. She is defintley a
woman of worship and of course of woman of God. Her cd shows
the diversity that gospel music has shown in the present
time. She is gifted and talented to the upmost , as you will
or can hear in her cd. Her song private place puts you in
that private place that you cant escap where its just you
and God in the mist of all the things you might be going
through Its all about him shows her range her sense of
switching up the vibe with its rock sensatonal sound. I give
her cd 5 out of 5
