Found a great cd copy of this classic K.T.
CD's were just becoming popular in USA at the time of the album's release in the fall of 1986.
The tiny lyric print makes me so glad for the 12" album lyric inserts. Great writing attributed to K.T.,
Wayne Kirkpatrick and Phil Naish & Dan Huff.
I missed hearing "GOD" & "JESUS" in the songs,
glad that Kathy added them in latter recordings.
K.T. took a pop turn from last album "Heart & Soul" which garnered some great ccm tunes.
Wow, another classic that has hit 25 year old mark!
GOD Bless! Don

I had already been sold on KT's songs from her first 2 releases, so it was not a very difficult decision to get this album. It was like "WOW" when I heard the songs, especially the starter "Ready & Willing"; it was co-written by the talented Wayne Kirkpatrick, who had a hand with writing several songs for this release in September of 1986 (wow, 25 years ago!).
This album sounds like it may have been released before its time in the ccm genre. "Talk it Out" has a very top notch pop sound; I believe it could have had success in mainstream, as well as other cuts. I really like "Dream On"; great song, with top ccm songwriter
Chris Eaton assisting on bgvs. Another top ccm singer/songwriter, vet Pam Mark Hall co-wrote the
up beat pop styled "Don't Wanna See You Down"; I really like this one. The very talented Phil Naish's keyboards shine on "Love Stays"; great vocals by KT on this song: co-written by Mark Baldwin (associated with top ccm artist Amy Grant, he also plays guitar & is part of the bgvs on Amy's Age to Age live concert).
I really missed not hearing GOD or JESUS mentioned in any of the songs, tho' GOD is implied here & there.
Glad to see Kathy changed that later on in her recording career. The song "If Only" is for anyone who has lost their Dad; Kathy wrote this one for the loss of her Dad when she was only 16. "Gotta Keep Dancin" finishes side 2 of the album; another pop, mainstream styled song. BTW, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you KT on June 24. GOD Bless! -Don
