How many times have you sung along to a worship song, either in Church or in the car and not really thought about what you were singing? In all honesty, I have to say it is the majority of times. Although I am aware of what the song is about, rarely have I carefully considered the lyrics of what I am singing. So the concept of daily "quiet time" notes that are actually noisy is genius. With the two CDs, you get a little hardcover book that contains the lyrics of the songs and an accompanying section of text that prompts the reader to reflect, pray and respond. It results in changing a passive listener into an active one, interacting with the music and God as the Holy Spirit prompts thoughts. Many of the selected tracks are familiar and older - two early Delirious?/Cutting Edge songs and Matt Redman's "Friend Of Sinners" - but with 31 tracks many may be new to you. I loved Tim Hughes' recording of Nathan Fellingham's classic "Holy Holy". The March CDs also feature Stuart Townend, Lou Fellingham, Brenton Brown, Martyn Layzell and many more. For only £10, you could get this just for the music, but then you would be missing the point.
